Be aware that the sizes for bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses typically run smaller than the clothes you wear every day.
So, don't hesitate to order the larger dress size! It is much less expensive to "take in" a dress rather than to "let it out" or add fabric panels.

Tuesday Something Blue
Having trouble finding an item for the "Something Blue" of "Something old; something new; something borrowed; SOMETHING BLUE?" Here are a few suggestions:

A garter with some blue lace
Blue flowers to add to your bouquet
Blue toenail polish
Blue lingerie/underwear
A sapphire ring or blue in a piece of jewelry

Wednesday Save Money On The Catering Bill
Save! If you're trying to keep your catering costs low, stay away from certain foods like shrimp, salmon, lobster and beef tenderloin. If you have your heart set on one of these dishes, incorporate them as an appetizer rather than the main course.

Thursday How Many Hors D'Oeuvres?
When working out your menu selections with your caterer, be careful on how many hors d'oeuvres you select. Do you really need eight different varieties of passed hors d'oeuvres and a stationary cheese & cracker table? You'd be surprised - some caterers will suggest this!
If you are doing passed hors d'oeuvres - four different varieties is usually sufficient. Remember, you want your guests to save some room for dinner!

Tulle can be a fairly inexpensive decorating tool (no pun intended). It can really add a soft and romantic glow to your reception location.
Tulle can be draped along walls, entry ways, staircases, balconies and fireplaces. Tulle bows can be tied around chairs. Some reception locations may have old, unattractive chairs. The tulle bows look beautiful and make a great "cover-up". The possibilities are endless.
